Can't change wallpaper or delete web apps [FIXED]
So I bought an 8gb 2G today. Restored it, then used quickpwn to jb and unlock.
I used to have an iPhone last year, but needed money and sold it. When I plugged my new one into iTunes it asked if I wanted to restore to a backup I had. Hit yes and it restored to that backup point.
Everything is working fine, except that I can't change my lock screen wallpaper from the one included in my backup. Along with that I can't delete the three bookmarked web apps from my springboard. Well I can, but they don't stay deleted, they always come back after I go to the lock screen.
Any ideas?Last edited by smuth; 01-17-2009 at 01:28 AM. Reason: fixed

SSH into your phone and go to private/var/mobile/Library and you will see a file called LockBackground.jpg and delete it. Then go into settings and change the Lockdown Wallpaper to whatever you want and restart. I am not sure about the web apps tho.

awesome, deleting LockBackground worked!
now to figure out how to remove the webapps...i suppose i just need to find what dir they're in an SSH in and delete them...
after some searching, i figured out where the WebClips are stored.
SSH to: /private/var/mobile/Library/WebClips
They aren't named, but to figure out which one each folder is, just copy the icon.png over to your computer. Then delete the whole folder. restart iphone (or probably just reboot the springboard) and they're gone!Last edited by smuth; 01-17-2009 at 01:27 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
