Default Considering buying a wet iPhone!

My friend has a iPhone 3G that he has dropped in the water and he has bought another phone and is wanting to sell the iPhone for $150.00. The iPhone has dried out and is now working. I am concerned that due to it getting wet that it is going to corrode on the inside and will not work in a few months. Does it have the red dot on the inside of the headphone jack like the 1st gens? Could i take it to apple and trade it in on a new one? What is your advice.

I'll buy it right now and take it off your hands!! I'll take the risk of it f'n up on me. I need an iPhone! Currently waiting for my broken one to sell on eBay so I don't have to come out $600 out of pocket for a new one. If my broken one fetches $200+ I won't have to come out of pocket too much. Like I said I'd pay you $150 for the iPhone, all risk on me.

i would go for the deal, if it is still working after drying out, chances are that it is fine. for $150, it's a deal, but since he is your friend and he probably only paid $200 for it, get him to give you a better friend discount

I'd pay up to $200 for a wet one that worked without flinching so $150 is a yes.

THANKS! If you say it it has to be true. I was just worried about future problems. From my understanding there are to wet indicators on the iphone so i guess exchanging it back would be out of the question?
