Maps not loading properly-please help
Hey guys, i have a Jailbroken 3G 2.2 It seems something has gone wrong with my Google maps. Whenever i load the maps up it comes up as a checkerboard pattern of a random particular part of the map, the only way it'll clear up the checker board and show me what i'm actually looking at is if i zoom in real close-which is annoying. Anyone know what the cause of the problem might be or how to fix it?
Please refer to the picture to see what I'm talking about. Restoring has worked at fixing the problem before, but it seems that after i jailbreak and add some apps through cydia or even through ssh the problem eventually returns.
Thanks for any help.

Maybe corruption in the map app. Maybe someone can copy their folder for MobileMaps and then upload it here. Delete your folder via SSH and then SSH the new one to your phone. Wouldn't that work? Have you tried to reboot your phone?

I would follow my method. If you have alot of stuff on your phone it would be a pain to restart all over again and download everything.
Step 1: download diskaid (do a google search for it) This doesn't require you to SSh via wifi, just plug phone in, open diskaid and ssh into your phone.
Step 2: navigate to the applications part of your phone and look for MobileMaps, drag it to your desktop and then delete it off your phone by pressing the delete button on your keyboard.
Make sure you delete the Mobile Maps folder.
Respring your phone.
Step 3: ask someone around the forum for a copy of their MobileMaps folder, download it and SSH it back into your phone by dragging it back in the applications.
***make sure you don't SSH it into a folder. Make sure you SSH it into the applications folder and verify you see it there again.
Respring your phone and test it out.Android user suffering from iPhone withdraw.
