getting numbers off phone without a backup?
k so heres the deal. i have a 3G that i need to virginize for a friend who needs to take it back to apple to get fixed. only problem is that i had jailbreaked the phone for her origionally and she used winterboard to make a few changes, the carrier logos signal bars clock etc. all those little things save and get put on the phone even after you do the restore. best way around this is to just restore the phone and start from scratch without the backup data....but that leaves her with no numbers. is there any way to rip the numbers off the phone so they can be put back on it WITHOUT doing a backup?

Ofcourse you can backup the things like SMS, call history , addressbook etc.
Just SSH into your iPhone, and copy the folder /USERS/LIBRARY to your desktop or any other place and when you jailbreak it again you can replace the /User/Library folder with this one that contains all your backups of SMS, emails, weather and call history.

Also u can sync with your addressbook in MAC to save your numbers and then sync back to get them into your iPhoneiPhone 4
Firmware : iOS4
Carrier : Softbank (Japan)

or you can replace the logos and whatever else with the original .png files, and then backup the phone, then restore
