Getting a 3G replacement. UPDATE: (It's finally here!!!)
Well I've had a lot of problems with my 3G such as wifi, and now it's the battery life. They're sending me a replacement after I mail my phone to them. I gave the guy I talked to the most recognition I could after I got multiple run around from other employees.
The thing is... my 16GB white iphone housing from e-case shop is on it's way. Not sure what I'm going to do with it lol. But I'm SO happy I didn't open the phone yet. This thread will be for my replacement experience.
Now I'm just waiting for the box, restore the phone and send it on in to them.
1/15/09 - Received replacement power adapter and packaging sent to overnight the iPhone to Apple.
1/16/09 - iPhone picked up by FEDEX and overnighted to Apple.
1/19/09 - Apple received my original power adapter and iPhone.
1/20/09 - My new iPhone is being shipped to me overnight!!! Should be here sometime tomorrow.
1/21/09 - Phone is here. Will be delivered by 10 AM.Last edited by Cam23; 01-21-2009 at 06:22 AM.

.... You ordered a white iPhone back housing? Why not just get the white iPhone?
I personally think if you are going to order a back housing from ecaseshop.com it should be a custom color, not an OEM. Only reason I'd buy an OEM is to switch back for warranty purposes if mines got messed up during the custom swap.Android user suffering from iPhone withdraw.

I actually just received mine from the advanced replacement service. I tried to go black but to no avail. I kind of agree with GQ on the case thing, but I do want a black iphone instead of white and am thinking about doing that swap to black still.
YOu said you haft to send your phone first? weird, I was able to get a new phone first and then send this one back.Last edited by kjack05; 01-14-2009 at 03:41 PM.

I called apple support and requested "advanced replacement service". Wasnt long at all, told them my problem if its a hardware problem they will try to troubleshoot it, if its a cosmetic defect they will issue the ARS, if its within the warranty. IT does charge a shipping fee.

Well, thanks for the help, but looks like I'm out at this point. It's clearly a hardware problem caused by the previous user, so I might just pay the $200 for a new replacement one then turn it for $400 or so...
I still have my upgrade left if I ever decide to permanently go 3G.Respect your elders.

FedEx just picked up the phone from my house to overnight it to Apple. I have Apple Care and the box they sent was very nicely packaged. To put my phone in and send back.
I also got a replacement power adapter the new one with the green dot on it. I'm hoping to get another phone back soon, I miss her...
I'm off to dinner and a movie.

I never thought I'd miss my iphone this much. Before we all left for the movies. I got ready to hook it up in my range rover... ugh. Thank GOD it's overnight service. I can't want to get her back.
I will post pics as soon as I get one back. My net was down, that's the reason I couldn't post pics.
Indeed good sir.Last edited by Cam23; 01-17-2009 at 01:26 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
