with this being the case dont apple usually release a new firmware when introducing in a new country or am i wrong and will we be able to buy without having to sign a contract straight away like you guys could in the us or will it be contract with sale?

i think the activation and unlocks on the net will be also updated for theese providers. they are doing it not just for the us providers. there are plenty of other international small providers alreaddy listed.
