Iphone 3g App Limit Fix?

Ok, i have ALOT of apps for my phone.
And ive had to cut down on alot i want due to the limit you are able to have ( i believe its like 80 something?).

Last time i had too many apps or something and my phone got hung on the apple logo, and had to restart and rejailbreak, redownload everything.
Its VERY annoying.

I Know there is a fix for this to extend the ammount of apps you can have where it wont cause this problem.

Does anyone know a link or something that could would be easy to change the limit.
Im guessing it would be done ssh'ing into the phone.

Please someone help me with my problem.

Why don't you use categories? It really helps me mange my phone.

^Yup, I use it now just because I dont have time to finish making a bunch of icons to complete the theme im using....and I CANT stand having unthemed icons sitting there

That still doesnt help the app limit though does it?
I dont really care about the orginizing of my apps, its just the limit of them.

It is a page issue. You only have 9 pages to work with.

If you are crashing issues, my phone seems to have similar performance issues that my computers have when I max out the hard drive space. I have been leaving a buffer of 500 mb of free space and it seems to help.

Just remember to take your apps back out of catagories before you do a restore. Otherwise its a pain-o you know where.

i was wondering if there is any way to add more icons to the categories stock icon pictures, because i cant find one for the category i would like to have "Sports"

There is add on packs in cydia. You can always ssh new icons.

in sbsettings it goes like this

It looks alright. You could have more room but whatever. I am not very good with photoshop. You might want to see if you can find and icon for different app and use it. Look through the different themes and you should find something that works. If I come across anything, I will let you know.

You need to install iTunnel:

http://www.makkiaweb.net/itunnel/data/its_setup.exe

Connect iPhone to the computer via USB

Go on the PC and iPhone Tunnel opens. I will open a window that looks like an iPhone. press the button above - “iPhone Tunnel.” you appeared a window Terminal. las an open-all the time.

WinSCP or Putty uses the following coordinates:

• IP Address: 127.0.0.1
• Port: 22
• Username: root
• Password: alpine

Done!
