Adding ipa files to iPhone 3g??
Hi there.
I have a jailbroken iPhone 3g with 2.2 firmware. Well i know that i can add ipa files in it replacing the MobileInstallation file and then making the Documents folder and changing the permissions but my Question is I HAVE ALREADY DOWNLOADED A FREE AP FRING FROM APP STORE, SO IF I DOWNLOAD MOBILEINSTALLATION FILE AND REPLACE IT, WONT MY IPHONE GET CRASHED??

Warez "talk and discussion" is ok... but as soon as someone posts a link to a cracked file that gets us into legal trouble.
If you replace your mobile installation file with the CORRECT version for your firmware you'll be fine. We cannot link or host this patched file though. Sorry.

@Poseiden.... Thanks for the clarification about warez. It wasn't clear to me before. So we can discuss the subject just no files or links. Much appreciated.

Yes, "how to install" is ok. But that's it.

google is your friend. they are everywhere. its hosted on many repos as well. make sure you choose a reputable repo host tho. its not a file u wanna screw up, and a procedure is required after its patched. such as downloading a file thru appstore after u patch it. run the game/program. reboot iphone. then continue installing your "bought" .ipa files

I have already screwed my iPhone onces, after downloading the iMobilePatch from Cydia, thats why i asked this and ofcourse i am not asking about any kinda link, just wanted to have the advice of Guinness on my issue.
i had to restore my iPhone fully after iMobilePatch as my fone was stuck on that Apple logo for ages.

Have you tried just purchasing the apps from the app store? Less problems. Less money, but less problems.
Don't forget the thanks button if this helped but seeing as you don't reward people for their work/help I guess you will blow me off too.

Not always fewer problems. I had a hell of a time with Monopoly, which I purchased the day it came out. Who is to say he isn't trying to test an app to see if it is worth buying? I have spent at least 35 bucks on things I ended up not using and Apple doesn't have a money back guarantee :P
