How do you back up the iphone music, playlists, movies and apps?

Just wondering, how do you go about making a backup of everything on the iphone?

If you have configured your iphone to automatically sync with iTunes on a specific computer,iTunes will back up the iPhone after you connect it to that computer and sync with iTunes.
