    Default Installing Sbsettings Without Cydia?

Anyone know where I can get the files and where I should put them?

Here's the back story if you're curious. I upgraded from 2.0 to 2.2 today, but I realized that Cydia was missing and so were all my jailbroken apps. I remembered that I put Cydia in a Category before upgrading so after I upgraded and jailbroke, Cydia was still classified as "hidden." Now I don't have categories or bossprefs installed so I can't unhide it. I can't install bossprefs either because bossprefs was in a category.

    Or quickgold

If you have Cydia, install Quickgold and Poof to unhide the icons

Install SBSettings and unhide any apps that are hidden

Launch the Settings app and disable/reenable restrictions.Doing this should unhide all the hidden apps

If Cydia is hidden, you can use Apt-get and install Quickgold from the SSH prompt

Worst case scenario, if nothing works, you can use iPhoneBrowser and delete the files located at /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.SpringBoard.plist and the reboot your phone

Or you can do a DFU restore to 2.2 and then quickpwn.

    Hey,
I don't have Cydia. Can anyone post a direct download link to Poof? I just want to add it manually, since I can't use cydia.

Also deb files are useless to me because I have a windows and I can't ssh into terminal either. (OpenSSH isn't installed, only iphonebrowser)

Edit: I just deleted the file you mentioned. All's right with the world.

OK, I feel like a total dumb*ss, but I did the same thing to my iPhone, without having installed the BSD Subsystem that you apparently need to SSH to the phone (?), and I'm on a Mac, so I can't use iPhoneBrowser...

I tried the DFU restore, then running quickpwn again, but Cydia is still hidden (as are all my other previously 'Categoried' third-party apps).

[added]Got a three-day trial to iFuntastic. Worked perfectly. File deleted ... no wonder I installed Categories to begin with. hehe[/added]
