[Help] iPhone 2G Screen damaged?
I just brought an iPhone 2G with what I though was a software problem, but after restore it (even with a real iPhone firmware, not Pwned) it still has the same problem, the lower part of the screen doesn't respond, it could be the screen? why in the lock screen the lower part (right where the dock is) works the upper half and the lower half doesn't and any other screen doesn't work at all?
its not like the old times when the top half of the screen only works.
Here some pictures so you can see for yourself and make some conclusions. Thanks for your help.αGoD HaS THe⌃oF My LiFe aND i DoN'T WaNNa⎋*Ⓘ♡ⓂⓨⓘⓅⓗⓞⓝⓔ

If ANYTHING is not working after a fresh restore this is a sure fire hardware failure.

OK Got it, thanks Poseidon, I fix it, it was the screen indeed, I change it and now is working, but now I'm in front of another problem, some how in the middle of "the operation" I don't know what I screw up and now the sound is something like inverted, If I put the headphones on, the sound comes through the speaker, if I take them out, the hud says Ringer headphones when I level the volume up and down (i wasn't like that before)If ANYTHING is not working after a fresh restore this is a sure fire hardware failure.
Any Ideas what did I broke or else?
Thanks in advance.αGoD HaS THe⌃oF My LiFe aND i DoN'T WaNNa⎋*Ⓘ♡ⓂⓨⓘⓅⓗⓞⓝⓔ

Hey... I have the same issue... my wife and I both have 3g iPhones on the Tmo network... but my old 2g has some kinda' screen issue where the bottom half isnt working... Im searching the forums now for the fix... but if someone would like to make my search end a bit quicker, that would be greatly appreciated.

^hi datboiro try restoring, if that doesn't work as you see in my old post you will have to go to eBay or some place where u can buy the screen for iPhone, the instalation is a bit tricky but if you search in YouTube you'll see a bunch of tutorials ready to follow.

Ghostyario,
Did you replace just the screen alone or screen & digitizer? Please clarify......

I changed both, screen and digitizer, but it should work just by replacing the digitizer, I was too lazy to separate the screen from the digitizer and last time I did it I broke the glass, so I didn't take the risk
