    Default unable to join network...

i have an adhoc network. tried resetting all my settings, creating the network over and over again. wep encrypted password, sometimes not, still doenst work. i get an ip, and the wifi bars at the top while its loading, and then it says unable to join network "ssid-name" and then i click join again. it goes through but it doent save. i go to the spring board and it just drops the wifi like that. used to happen before but it started working somehow. but i had to reset all my settings for sound issues. and its wont just stay connected very annoying.

    btw, found it by luck

this happened to me for awhile when I was on 1.1.2 and wasn't using.
WEP encryption I kept looting my connection on my iPhone and then would click my router and it wouldn't be able to connect. At first it would work for a little by just going to the setting and turning the wifi off and back on but that was annoying. So I put WEP encryption on at my router and updated to 1.1.4 (around the same time) and havnt had a problem since

Default Successfully connecting secure wifi net (ad hoc) using iPad2

    Hi Friends,

I had faced same problem of connecting iPad2 wifi to secure ad hoc network created in my ubuntu 11.04 OS. After moderate trial-n-error I find solution to this problem.

Create Ad-hoc wifi network with WEP 40/128 bit key (Hex or ASCII).
Now iPad2 (IOS 5.0.1) will show this newly created network.

    nJoy !!!!
