Hey all, so I finally started using iTunes to sync my iPhone to play my vast mp3 collection on my iPhone.

It was something that I never really cared about doing before, but now do.

Either way here is the quandry: Alot of my songs are creative commons not found anywhere else type of deal. Which means that the album artwork isn't going to be found anywhere else except with the download.

The music imported just fine, however the cover artwork that is a .jpg file did not. There is a "cover.jpg" file in every single folder (we are talking about 116 individual albums btw) but thus far I have had to manually add the cover art to every single album.

I am sure you can see why this is becoming a bit tedious.

Now the strange thing is, is that it read the pre-existing artwork to my Aphex Twin collection, which I imported into iTunes in the same manner. The artwork was already in the individual folder of the album and so forth.

Now in both cases, I have the "go to iTunes to find missing information" feature disabled. So I know that iTunes didn't find the Aphex Twin information from apple.

So how do i get itunes to recognize the already existing artwork automatically instead of having to go to each and every folder and manually add it???

Oh, and I am using XP.

1: Go into iTunes, select every song you want to add the individual album artwork to.
2: right-click on the selected songs and choose "Get Info"
3: Drag the album artwork to the blank area for "album artwork" on the Get Info screen
4: If your tags are up to date, the artwork will be added to every selected song, no need to worry about folders.

that last part... Make sure your tags are up to date... That will be the killer of the ease :-(

Also something i noticed, is that all the aphex twin cover art is listed as 'folder.jpg', it was the same for all my library as well.

The new stuff was all listed as 'cover.jpg'.
