Default Stuck at activation on iphone with unknown original service provider

Stuck at activation on iphone with unknown original service provider,

Ok here goes nothing. I have a 3 G iphone, that when I bought it I got it used, and basically got ****** over by doing so. It turns out that the phone was locked to an unknown service provider. So I went out and bought another one, and have had this one sitting here for months waiting for yellowsn0w to come out. So now I start reading all the Walkthrough saying that the baseband has to be 02.28.00 freshly updated 2.2. So without thinking I downloaded the firmware and connected the phone but after I flashed the phone I didn’t have any way to activate the phone through ITunes. If someone can help me with getting this phone activated I should be able to get it jail broken and ultimately UNLOCKED and functional.

Thank You For Your Time Wilson

you can definetly use the pwnage tool to create a custom FW that includes ACTIVATION.

and judging by the success stories quickpwn now contains an activate feature, whereas it never used to.

After you have fake activated the iphone with these tools you can getinto cydia and install yellowsn0w.

Also, inserting a sim card from a legitimate carrier in YOUR region then connecting to itunes will also activate the iphone.
