incorrect wifi password help
Ok, I have tried EVERYTHING...I have searched millions of threads, tried 3 different routers, tried WEP/WPA/WPA2/WPA-PERSONAL, different passwords, mac address allow lists, but I can't for the life of me have my iphone (2.2firmware or any for that matter) stay connected to my wifi.
If I add a new network and input the wep password it will work until the phone goes to sleep or I turn it off and back on, then I go to Safari and it asks for the password and it keeps telling me it's incorrect. I've tried my router login password as well as my wep passwords and nothing works! WHAT GIVES!

You neglected to mention what BRAND and MODEL routers you are using!
Many routers don't work well with anything but Windoze PCs.
1 Are there software upgrades available for the router?
2 Did you reboot the router?
3 is it over 3 years old?
Good Luck!
PS new wi-fi routers aren't that expensive!!!http://jpassoc.com/x -- with free itunes under the puppy!

its a netgear wtg624 and its updated with the most recent update. The reason I bought this one is because my dad has it and my iphone works flawlessly at his house. I have matched all the settings I can think of to mimic his except my SSID which shouldn't matter. I have rebooted the router yes. I have also tried an apple airport base express

I would take it to another wi-fi (like an apple store). If it doesn't work it may need replacement.
you did power off & on the iPhone, right?http://jpassoc.com/x -- with free itunes under the puppy!

I know that any router that has a http log in page you have to relog into every time you lock your iPod touch cuz this happens to me every time I lock my iPod at school after I've logged into the system. Don't know if this helps... Also one last thought. You have g and or b on right? And mac address filtering off? Just some thoughts.
