Default Continuous alert on specific email or SMS.

I work as an IT systems admin, and as a result, I'm forced to carry a pager (sometimes two). While I have the option to send notifications to myself via email or SMS, it's not feasible to stay on top of the alerts when so much other communication is already happening on these channels. Also, the pager is very loud, can be set to alert until I press a button, and generally anything received on the pager needs immediate attention. What I would need to dump this archaic piece of junk is a way to allow my iPhone to continuously alert based on particular rules; SMS messages from specific numbers, emails with specific subjects, emails from specific sources. Is this possible with software that already exists?

If something doesn't already exist for this, I'm thinking that it wouldn't be too hard to write something that reads in the .emlx/.mbox files the SMS db, and plays an alert based on the information. Does anyone know where the incoming emails are stored? In v.2.x it doesn't appear to be in the same location anymore.

there is an app i believed its called reminder, but i do not think it can follow rules like that, but maybe if you run it with blacklister or iblacklist you may be able to get it to function similar to what you said

I came to this site looking for exactly the same thing for the same reasons. Any luck with the suggested applications?

    Thanks!
