iPhone 2G screen broken.
Where do I get the LCD for the first gen iPhone?
I recently brought another iPhone for my family members, but unfortunally, the LCD is broken?

before I go buy the LCD, is that the problem?

Try plugging it into Itunes...see if itunes will recognize it and if so, restore it. If it still continues with that screen...its prolly the LCD.
If itunes wont recognize it....and you cant restore it, you could have a far worse issue.

Without having the phone in front of me.....could be several things.
Could be the LCD, or a flex cable, or the mainboard...water damage, etc....Shine a bright light down into the headphone jack, at the bottom is a white circle....if it has any color on it at all...the phone has water damage and could have several things wrong with it.
I actually kinda doubt its the LCD.
Have you attempted restoring it?

Just have to wait and see.
I see some marks on the screen that could indicate water damage....but again, no way to tell for sure right now.

Then again, there's no way of telling how bad it was damaged without opening the phone up. Could have just fried a flex cable....could have fried the entire mainboard. Depends on how wet it got, IF thats the case....that type of damage can range from a pain but fixable.....to total brick.
Your not gonna get any concrete answers until it arrives.

^Dont say I didnt tell ya....I could tell from the imperfections on the screen it had probably gotten wet. If thats the case...I would stay clear of that phone if you can.

Would a simple logic board switch fix this phone?
