Duplicate text messages?

Hi,

I recently bought an iPhone. Since I've been using it, one friend has been receiving duplicates of old texts I sent him, sometimes days before, and sometimes even after I've deleted the texts from my phone!

I've got firmware v2.2, jailbroken, and I'm using biteSMS to send texts through my carrier. I'm on O2 (in the UK). My friend is also on O2, but doesn't have an iPhone.

I don't know whether this problem is caused by the iPhone, by biteSMS, by O2, or if it's completely unrelated. I've done a google search, but can't find any reports of similar problems. Has anyone come across anything similar???

That was my first thought too. But why did it only start when I got my iPhone? Coincidence? Connected to the new 3G sim card I got with the phone? Will contact O2 about it if the consencus is that it's their problem, but want as much info as possible first... and would love to hear from others with the same problem.
