hey guys I am having a problem with iTunes not detecting my iPhone 3G

My computer detects it and I can use that camera wizard to extra photos and stuff but iTunes doesnt show it.

To add more to the confusion, my freinds iPod Touch was easily recognized by iTunes.


*Off Topic* I read the thread about getting your phone stolen, and I heard about some anti-theft software for the iPhone. What kind of app is that?

What version of iTunes are you running? Have you tried to reboot your computer? I see you have mac & pc... is it not working on both or just one?

Its not working on my windows XP running itunes 8.0.2


I tried rebooting my PC, switching USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling, redownloading and making sure the iTunesHelper process is running
