I'm not a programmer, I don't know how to take apart the iPhone, I was a complete noob the day I went to Google and started searching about "jailbreaking". After THOUSANDS of hours of reading and educating MYSELF I know a thing or two about the iPhone All it took was time and dedication.

Not to bust on anyone, but if a housewife in her late 40's can become an expert modder by reading forums, searching ,etc.... I'm sure most anyone can.

Ive also repaired broken screen , circuit board, speakers on other phones (not the iphone... yet anyway) all from tutorials with pictures I found on forums.
The problem is that this is how most people deal with any problem they may encounter with anything. Call customer service, ask someone. No question is a dumb question we are taught as children. Gets out of hand and out of context sometimes. Geez that is the LAST thing I want to do. Anytime I actually am forced to call someone it is becasue I have already tried teh 101 usual solutions so to call and be told to "reboot my PC" or "check my plugs" is redundant and insulting. I find my own answers quicker and better on my own. People really dont understand forum ettiquette, especially in tech/automotive forums. These sort of questions are tolerated a bit more in other genres it seems.
People perhaps dont realize that "wiki" and "FAQ" mean "Help". Ive also heard people claim they didn't "think" to search, yet they found MMi.
Such is life.
