iphone capacity problem

hi

any bit of help would be appreciated..... i noticed the last time in hooked my iphone up to my laptop that the capacity was very high.... then i noticed that the 'OTHER' category of capacity was 4gb!!!

can anyone tell me why this is and how i can sort it out.

i hav a jailbroken iphone that i unlocked myself... if i restore it will i lose everything? (including apps)

The "Other" part of your phone is the space that all your third-party applications take up. You can get rid of this (it will go back down to 194MB or so) with a restore...

However yes, you will lose all of your jailbroken apps.
