iTunes not detecting 2.2 update...

I am using a 2g, which at one point in time was jailbroken. Since, the phone has a new owner and running completely stock on version 2.0 with AT&T.

When connected to iTunes, clicking Check For Updates, shows the phone is running the current version (2.0) firmware.

2G iphone, locked, stock
Most current version of iTunes running on PC.

Have you tried uninstalling iTunes and then reinstalling? I have never heard of that happening.

Didn't reinstall, just updated today to the newest version of iTunes.
And this happens on multiple PC's.
