Any adcice?

Hey all.

Love the forum. (delighted I found it)
My iphone's touch screen doesn't respond to my touch at all anymore. I was wondering can I just repair the
digitizer or do I have to repair both the LCD screen and the digitizer witch is very expensive and I cant afford.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated mate.

if you didn't jailbreak it and its under warranty apple will replace it .
as far as replacing screen and digitizer is hard and complicated,from what i heard on the forum.

If its under warranty AND the iphone is in good cosmetic shape...yeah, they'll swap it out.

Otherwise, its not hard to replace (in my opinion) but on a 2g you have to buy the entire assembly (glass, digitizer and LCD)

If its a 3g...you can buy only the digitizer.

I should have mentioned it is 2G and it's not under warranty.
I'm good with my hands and have loads of patience, so I should be able to fix myself using tutorials and videos on how to fix the digitizer.

I don't mind paying the 130 dollars. I think i'll just buy the Digitizer.
