Default HELP my iphone is bugged by a popup

    Hello everybody,

I have a 2G iphone which i have just upgraded to ver 2.1 but after upgrading to 2.1 and downloading some IPA's directly via Winscp. I am being troubled by a popup which jumps up even when the phone is locked. I have uploaded some screenshots.

I have tried a restore and a jailbreak of the same version i.e. ver 2.1 still it was there so i tried a upgrade to ver 2.2 and jailbroke it by quickpwn.

But the popup is still troubling me. It just jumps up at any time in the phone book or in the ipod or even when the phone is locked.

    PLEASE HELP.

Sounds like you've installed some apps that aren't compatible with FW 2.x. Remove what you installed after upgrading to 2.1 and see if that makes a difference.

When you upgraded to 2.2 did you restore your phone as a new phone or use a back-up? It's just I'm pretty sure if you used a back-up you'll reinstall any problems you previously had.

Have you gone back into your phone via Winscp to see if any of the apps you added manually are still there?

Also, something seems to be nagging me at the back of my mind that sometimes a dirty/faulty headphone socket can bring up this pop-up, but I could have dreamt that. I'll have a search around and see if I can confirm this but it seems odd that it only started after you upgraded and then manually added apps.

BTW, if that 1st screen shot is since you upgraded to 2.2 you're NOT running only the basic software.

***EDIT*** Thought I'd read something about this problem before - read more here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=350765
