Firmware 2.2 battery drain
Has anyone else had this problem again. After upgrading to 2.2 the battery life if total crap again.
Just now I've had the phone in standby mode for the last 2 hours with no wifi or bluetooth on, just sitting there doing nothing and it lost 20% battery (Its at 80%). If I play a game I have about 1 hour before I get the warning 20% battery left.
Firmware 2.1 was good as it could sit there all day and loose 20% over the whole day where 2.2 looses the same in about 2 hours.
Is this a sign my battery is dying or has Apple F'ed up again and given us a faulty firmware again that drains battery life?
When are Apple going to listen to the people instead of thier a$$es. All I hear from them is crap and the firmware is always full of extra crap we dont need. Come on, did we really need street view or do we need better battery life. Its so simple but it would take Apple to get it wrong.
Apple wants clones instead of customers.

I have not heard of any issues. Although I agree with you for the most part about recent updates, if this update was "all crap" to you I am not sure why you made the jump? Have you tried just doing a restore to 2.2? Are you jailbroken? 1st gen or 3G?

I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Hmmm this does not sound right at all. I've upgraded to 2.2 and haven't had a problem at all with battery life.
