Updating / Installing Applications on the iPhone

Everytime I update my iPhone, the sync works flawlessly until my phone begins installing applications. It installs a few apps (cracked and / or downloads from App Store), and then makes my iPhone restart.

I restored my iPhone and jailbroke it again to make sure everything was clean, but this same problem persists.

Do any of you have the same issue, and if so, how can it be resolved?

BTW this is on the iPhone 3G 2.2 jailbroken firmware.
