Taking an extended trip to canada - what do I do?
I'm going to Whistler, Canada for 3 months and possibly longer and was wondering what options I have for my iPhone.
My 2G 1.1.4 iphone currently IS UNLOCKED with pwnagetool and I would like to know what I have to do to get a Canadian SIM with some kind of data plan on it that will work with it.
I've heard ROGERS and FIDO are the carriers out there but how do I go about getting a sim card with the right kind of plan? Can I get a prepaid SIM card with a data plan, or something, insert it into my iPhone, and have it work?-----------------------------------------------------------
My brother was eaten by wolves on the NJ Turnpike.

An unlocked iPhone will work with ANY GSM Network in the world.
Apart from 3 in Australia.

Go here. Roam Simple - Your source for low-cost international GSM SIM cards, Global Roaming SIM cards, and wireless freedom
I was just in Europe and purchased SIM cards for Germany, Italy and France. They are not prepaid so you dont have to worry about running out of minutes.
The rates are awesome! I think they offer a World SIM that will work in Canada. Check it out.
