Is this worth it?
My friend is acting as a middle-man on a Iphone 16gb deal. Now the screen cracked multiple times, scratches and a few dents on the upper right hand backside corner.Other than those set back supposedly there isn't any problem.
Now the deal is for $250. I haven't seen the phone yet, but my friend just called me that he's going to pick it up today and show it to me tomorrow. However just by these set-backs I don't know if its a decent deal or not. Please help me; Im open to all opinions, reasons and fact. I just want a iphone at a decent deal.

If it has a cracked screen, It's not worth buying.
Unless you can fix it.
If you think you can use an iPhone with a cracked screen, You won't. It's bloody annoying.
And for $250, There HAS to be more stuff that's broken that he's not telling you about.
If I were you, I'd get the sellers address, Buy the phone, And if your not satisfied, Go back there and get your money. And if he refuses.. Well..

I would definitely steer clear of this "deal."

Hmm, I always had the doubts, once he told me the screen was cracked. Let me tell the whole story from the beginning. My friend was going to buy it for himself; keep in mind he has an Iphone already. He wanted to get that 16gb because the only thing he saw was wrong with it was the crack screen. He was going to switch that crack screen with his old Iphone. Well, he's eighteen and his mom said no because he already had one. So that deal busted. so I mentioned to him today that I wanted to buy an Iphone and he then told me on this about this Iphone. When I told him I'm interested, but wanted to see it; he got lit up happy that I was "going to buy it". Now, he's a good friend I don't want to tint our friendship and he really believe that this is a great deal. He called me saying I got great news and that the price was $250; I did say I had to see it first. What should I do?
Thanks for the help everyone.Last edited by TheNoob12; 12-15-2008 at 05:46 PM.

just check out the phone's shape and tell your friend it's just not what you're looking for and you want something in better condition....$250 for a bust iphone is a bit steep.
be patient on what you're buying, it's a lot of money you're dropping so you might as well pay a bit more and get something worthwhile.
ex.) i happen to be very lucky... searching on craigslist.com for a few weeks and i managed to find a iphone 2g 16gb for only $300... perfect condition.
good luck on you're search.2G 16gb wrapped in a white incase slider w/ zagg invisible shield screen protector

Yeah, But you know exactly know how or whats screwed up with it.
I mean, It might look fine from the outside, But like with the story that was on here a day or two ago, Somethings may be stuffed up inside. That may and probably will cost more than what you paid for to fix.
But anyway, However this turns out, Good Luck buddy
