advice for thailand please.

before you start i dont need to know about massage parlours or avoiding katois,bin there,done that(well not the katois)
im going to bkk and ko phiphi for christmass/new year and was thinking to get a thai sim card.
does anyone one know if ill be able to get edge on there pay as you go cards and what tarrif to get,i was hopeing to tether my laptop.im sure this is is ok in bkk but not sure about on phiphi.

if you get the official carrier for thailand the iphone will activate and work fine. and if you have got some kind of data package on that sim you can tether using pdanet the same way you would here i would think.

as for thailand deals + data service, i guess youve just got to worry about that when you get there
