iPhone back to original version

Is there any way I can get my iPhone back to the original version it came with when purchased before I started jailbreaking it? It is a 1st gen if that makes a difference. iPhone has been acting real weird and battery is draining more than usual. Not sure why but my useage has not changed.

just restore it in itunes and your done, no traces of jailbreak or anything

Thanks guys. I tried the itunes restore already but still acts funny. I will try poseiden79's steps next. Hopefully it will do the trick...
