defaukt SMS app says negative 3

EDIT oops typo in the title...i cant change it?

So I downloaded a alternate sms app (iRealSMS) didnt like it very much so i decided to uninstall and go back to the default sms app. But now the problem is, when i go and try to use my it, the icon says i have -3 unread text.

When i open the app it has that blue dot next to 3 of my convos that indicates an unread message. the thing is when i click it it goes away. but when i reopen the app the 3 dots are there again next to the same convos

can someone please help me fix this

i had the same problem with mysms doing the same to my default sms app. i just deleted mysms and it got fixed

with irealsms its not getting fixed

Rename sms.db to sms.db.bak in /private/var/mobile/SMS/ and respring.

You will lose your old messages, but your problem will be fixed.
