iPhone will not wake up when called? Try this

I think I have a solution for at least a 2G iPhone. Various threads and people seem to think the power management is to blame. When you call the phone while the screen is off and its sleeping the caller will hear it ring then goto V-mail. When the phone is "on" and the screen is lit as its called it will ring. I finally got some fresh files for Firmware 2.2 and have so far done two phones. They will now wake from ring.

Explain? Its all in the download link. But basically you have to replace 3 files. May not have to replace ALL 3 but good to just replace them all and then reboot your phone.

What problem are you having? Is it for your 2.0 Firmware? is it a 2G or a 3G? The way i made it work on my 2G was replace the files then reboot. Then tested it by letting it go to sleep on its own, waited a minute then tried calling it. Before it would not wake up now it does. Is this what your phone is doing?

Ok that does sound a little strange....have you tried a complete restore then holding off on resyncing your data? like let it sleep then try calling it? or is it too random to even do that? there has to be something software related in that case. And possible unrelated to what putting these default files in. Has to be another issue. More so because only the sleep+home presses are needed to wake it. Is it going to be something an Apple store can look into? Warranty aside they can at least look at it. If another cell provider is a problem borrow a simchip from a friend who has ATnT
