URGENT! iPhone 3G Stuck in restore mode. Need to wipe it clean of my files!

I have to bring it into Apple to swap out my phone for a unrelated problem and as I was trying to bring it back to default mode to clear out all my jailbroken software and all my work information that is on the device for privacy and security reasons,and it is now stuck in Restore Mode.

I have tried to restore from iTunes and get Error 6 when trying to verify. I have tried to reinstall itunes, different firmwares, and computers. Still no go and really just wanna wipe out and make sure that everything is off the phone before I give it back to Apple.

When restoring, I get the Apple logo with the progress bar. When it fills up and is complete, it goes back to recovery mode. Is this saying that it did install the image and the original files are no longer there?

LOL, you could probably just take it in like that and say it started acting up even more and they'd switch it for a new one.

Have you tried to put it into DFU mode and restore from there? If not, try it. As long as you're doing a clean restore it should work.

SUPER DFU MODE!!!!!!!!!!!! im going to make a picture of superman with DFU mode his shirt for posts like this. if that fails....go to apple. they will replace it...i guaruntee it
