iPhone screen is dead...Pls HELP!

Hi Friends ,

My iPhone was working absoultely fine untill today....all of a sudden i see that phone's screen is not at all activated(I mean the display)...when i press home button or power button...for that matter any button...it displays as it is in locked state (LOCKED SCREEN)......
Dont know what caused this.....I am able to hear the ringtone when someone calls but not able to receive it...since the screen doesnt show anything......HELP!HELP!HELP!

Firmware : 2.1 using QuickPwn
iPhone 2G
Have installed apps also....there was no problem at all.....please HELP!

Restore and re-jailbreak, and hope its a software issue
