I have a 1st generation jailbroken 2.1 iPhone and I wanted to upgrade it to the new 2.2 upgrade. I did the upgrade through iTunes and when I did the jailbrake using Quickpwn2.2 when the computer was done doing it what I got was a white apple and it does not do anything else. What should I do to correct the problem? Thank you in advance.

Did you restore from a backup? If so your backup may be corrupt.

If not, kick it into DFU and do a clean restore to 2.2.

1. Attach phone to computer, turn phone off.
2. Hold down home and power button for 10 seconds, now let go off power button but keep holding the home button till the computer registers that your phone is connected.

Congratulations, you now have dfu mode.

Thank you to everyone trying to help me with this... I have my iPhone in DFU mode but I am getting a bubble message from my computer saying that the USB Device not recognized. On my iPhone it shows the iTunes icon and an USB cable. Can anyone advice if there is a web page with full instructions on how to restore my iPhone? Can someone guide me here through the process? Once again, thank you in advance!
