Water damage is hard to tell till you start doing stuff.
My first guess would be the flex cable, as its normally the first hit and by the way VERY hard to replace. Depending on the amount of water damage it could lead to the mobo and communications board. Could damage the battery and also the screen (LCD and or digitizer).
The fact that it still comes on is a good thing....I would start with the flex cable.
