This is a prob that has really bothered me. Basically, sometimes when people call me it only gives me the option "Slide to answer", and sometimes it gives me 2 options: Answer or Ignore... Please tell me why it doesn't always give me the option to ignore?!?
The Answer/Ignore is for when you are unlocked and using the phone; the slide to answer is for when the phone is locked, so you don't accidentally answer it when it's in your pocket.
Pro-tip: To silence a call when you're in the "Slide to answer" screen, press the power button and it will stop vibrating/ringing.
Along this line, I wish I could switch the answer and decline buttons. For some reason I am inclined to press decline when I want to answer if i'm holding the phone one handed. Ive disconnected more calls than I care to recall.
