Cant hear anything without headphones on!!

I lost all sound, and can only hear it with headphones like for my music in ipod, i have to have the head phones in use...when i play you tube videos i have to use the headphones. What happened to the sound, is it just a certain setting, or a app i have? I also get this weird message, never seen before, it says...
" This accessory is not made to work with iphone, would you like to turn on Airplane Mode to reduce audio interference? You will not be able to make or receive calls."
Then there is a yes no option to select....i always say no of course...this is getting quit irritating. I also deleted some of the more recent apps i installed thinking that was causing it, but it did not change anything. Is this from the new 2.2 FW...i hope not..
Please anyone can help, i would appreciate it a bunch!!

Go to
Settings.app, General, Reset, Reset All Settings.

try taking your headphones, and inserting them and removing them multiple times.

if you make a phone call, u should be able to place it in speaker phone mode still?

and without the headphones inserted, and you try to raise or lower the volume, does it say headphones up top?

if so, try what i suggested.

possible broken flex cable. Let me know how u fix it, i got the same thing goin on.

This is the weirdest thing ever....i deleted a game i had, then i had sound again for like a minute...then it was gone again. Then i tried to delete another one that i thought was also the problem...and i started getting springboard crashes with restart of safe mode. Now its just doing it every time i go into a app...when i exit out it crashes and goes into safe mode. And guess what?? still no sound...so i think i am will just retore this stupid phone...my nerves cant take no more...and if that dont work...i will throw this thing in the garbage and go back to my Blackberry.
