issue with the touch screen not responding..

Recently.. even before i upgraded to 2.2 i was on 2.1 .. latly the touch screen wouldn't respond.. and not just the bottem half.. the whole screen...

when i hit the home butten to wake the phone i could not use the slider.. so i hit the home butten 2 times and i ipod controls pop up... and i can't use them ether.. i have to hit the sleep butten and try again.. 2 or 3 times of this then it desides to work fine...

it even happens sometimes if i recive a phone call.. it will not let me slide to answer.. i have to hit the sleep butten then home again and then try to slide it.. and by that time the call has gone to voice mail..

is anyone haveing this problem? and any idea how to resolve..

Well unless you restored from backup, you've already changed and reloaded firmware so it's a hardware issue.

Otherwise reload it and setup as a new phone
