Music/Movies -> iPhone
Well, basically; I've heard that in order to play movies/series .avi files on iPhone, I need to convert the file before transferring. (which is not a problem at all), but I'm wondering how they play when using the iPhone player or if I should (if possible) get a player application?
If anyone know of a player application I can upload to the iPhone to play movies/series and such, would love any replies on this matter.
Another question is; is it possible to transfer movies/series in .avi format and keep them there as .avi then upload/copy it to a different computer? In short, use the iPhone as a 'usb stick' to transfer movies/series ^^
And finally; is there a program out there which will allow me to transfer songs/movies/series onto iPhone without using iTunes? Basically, a program that allows me to enter the iPhone like a normal external hardisk and just copy+paste whichever songs/movies I want.
Thanks in advance, and sorry for loads of questions in one go.

Thanks, I'll try it out :3
Hm, got another question. Regarding 'Ringtones' is there a way I can set the songs I've transferred from iTunes to iPhone as ringtone? I've been looking everywhere from the iPod to every setting, and I can't find it.
And I can't add normal songs to the "Ringtone" sublist on iTunes either.. so, again. In need of superb help ^^,Last edited by Smaaen; 11-28-2008 at 02:57 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I use Garage band for making ringtones. Just drag the song from itunes, then in garage band go to share and click send ringtone to iTunes.

Ringtones are a big headache issue with the iPhone, you can't actually use your songs. You need to make a 30 second clip of your song, convert it to aac, and then change the file format to m4r, then add it via iTunes to your ringtone list.
Regarding an alternative video player, if your device is jailbroken, then dtunes'll do the job for you. You can find it on cydia.
Google diskaid. It basically let's you use your phone as a usb stick.Last edited by 461am; 11-28-2008 at 03:14 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
