Touchscreen question for 2g and 3g
Are the touchscreen and glass screen on the iPhone 2g is the same with the iPhone 3g's counterparts?
Can I, for instance, install 2g glass and touchscreen on 3g iPhone?
Cause they seem similar by dimensions etc.Last edited by muaddib; 11-27-2008 at 02:21 AM.

AND the glass, digitizer and LCD on the 2g iphone are fused together from the factory, trying to separate them will break them. You have to replace the entire piece (glass, digitizer, LCD) which is around $170.
Yeah, the 3g piece is a different size, good thing on the 3g that is the pieces are separated so you only have to swap whats actually broke, but not on a 2g.
