i havent noticed a volume increase on any of the 2.x firmwares....when the first one came out from iclarified for 2.02 i believe i installed it from cydia and i didnt noticed a difference...so i was researching it more ...and all i came up with was what i posted earlier...so just incase i always do the mod manually.....

but if im correct i remember back in the 1.1.4 days the factory volume was set to .69999999999......
so when the volume mod was release back then it was a bigger difference......

so in my opinion i believe it works but since you can only go from .89999999999 to 1.00000000 thats not much room for a noticable increase ...but thats just my opinion..

wow thats a big difference because i do remember whenever i used the mod in 1.1.4 i noticed it but now i can see since its only about a .21 increase it wont be as noticiable. thanks though!

So, does anyone know if this will have an effect on the following problem?

I'm running a Touch with 2.2 firmware, and I'm using an iVoiceIII microphone through Skype and Fring, but the volume level through the headset is very low, and adjusting the volume level on my Touch has no effect. If I put this boost app on, is that only going to raise the max volume level, or might it also have an effect on the 'minimum' level I'm seeing with the iVoice connected?

Thanks,
Steve

dont think the volume increased at all with both the volume booster 2.2 and manually editing the files. looks like all it did was increase the volume bars - which you couldve done yourself by just hitting up on the volume buttons.

reboot, throw it away, do nothing.. doesnt matter.. doesnt work. none of them do.
by default, apple sends your phone out with a 9 of 10. 10 being the loudest. these numbers arent correct but more or less this is how it is. there is no differance. i have tried everything. regular earpiece volume is fine but speakerphone, pandora, etc.. all are very very low.
