edit iTunes music library on the go?
Is there any way that I can edit/delete songs from my iPhone music library easily without being on my computer?
I've got a whole bunch of songs that I know I don't even like anymore. Since I'm often bored at work, but can't have my laptop here, I'd like to trim the fat out of my music collection.
Is this at all possible?

if you ssh into the itunes_control folder you can delete your music. in windows you can search the file for "containing" and type in track name etc. i used to use this with the old ipod to copy my music back to my computer, gaining access used to be a matter of showing hidden folders.
i dont know what affect this will have on your ipod on your iphone, and also dont think you can add songs like this as itunes renames the files as they are written to your phone.
when you sync again at home it will all get put back on again anyhows, so best sort out your music from home. i create an iphone playlist and add songs to it from my music collection and remove as i feel necessary and when the iphones connected only choose to sync that 1 playlist.Last edited by reeko; 11-28-2008 at 12:58 PM.

You can't do this straight from the iPhone.
However you can use a light music manager on-the-go.
Check this blog out to get more info.
