the format of the phone numbers incorrect on iphone - how to fix it?

When I dial numbers on iphone it shows up as follows:

AAA ABBB BBBB but should be in AAAA BBB BBBB format(AAAA being the city code and the BBB BBBB being the number)

When I dial a country code with the number the format is correct

ZZ ZZ (AAA) BBB BB BB (ZZZZ being the country code).

I have installed the caller id fixes on (CallerID fix and format fix) cydia but it does not change to the correct format. Is there tool that lets u specfy a format for called numbers?

Any suggestions would be appriciated

my contact names don't show up in txt msgs cos it adds the country code.... I fixed this in 3.1.X with the cydia caller id fix bt is it working for 4.0.x... I have upgraded n got the same prob!!!
