    Default Firmware 2.2 Problems

Ever since upgrading to the 2.2 firmware on my jailbroken 3G iphone yesterday, i am encountering some strange problems, and am curious to as what Apps are causing this and what is the problem. My phone randomly resprings every now and then, and goes into safe mode. This happens sometimes when i try opening an app or just randomly happens while the phone is on. I also encounter a problem in which sometimes after a respring the phone brightness becomes 0. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm feeling like its the actual firmware. While some have said its more stable than any other previous firmware, I disagree. I've had more apps crash on me in the last day, than my entire experience with 2.1. I'm not saying 2.1 was a golden massiah, but it was fairly stable.

Also, the brightness thing is another issue that isnt due to apps, it happend to me before I even jailbroke. I played around with the idea of going back to a stock iPhone, as some say its "snappier". While it is "snappy", its pretty lame not having cydia, gpSPhone, or winterboard.

Hmm, all in all, I cant complain, but I sympathise with you, as I am experiencing similar issues. But I have no idea whats causing your random respring and safemode.
