Should I Jailbreak?
Well, I'm on the fence about jailbreaking my iPhone. Half of my friends have jailbroke and half have not. The half that have not said that it is not worth jeopardizing your warranty to jailbreak, and that most of the applications that are available through cydia are going to be coming in some version to the app store. I know that some of the applications would not be coming since they would not get approved by apple, but for the most part I have seen quite a few apps come over to the app store after being on cydia. I have purchased the apple care warranty with the phone and was wondering if this would be void if you jailbreak the phone.
I just want some key points to jailbreaking as opposed to keeping the phone original. I know that there are probably a lot of posts for this, but I just want some people to be straight up with me and figure out what I want to do.
If you have some suggestions for me or anything to that matter, can you please send me a private message or something.
You can also reach me on my AIM screen name which is the same as my MMi username.

I'd say jailbreak. You void your warranty, however you get millions of free apps through Cydia and Installer, and you can customize your homescreen, change the themes, and more.
However if you don't care about getting all those features, then there is no reason to jailbreak. Hope this helps!

MMS, video recording, custom icons, backgrounds...
I doubt these will come to iPhone as an app or part of the firmware. so you may want to JB for these.Being an i can be a lot of pressure. you have to live right up to the small point.

You don't get "millions" of free apps as the OP said. There are many apps, though just like the app store, the good majority of them you'll find useless. Apple has done a great job with the UI and IMO there aren't any themes that stack up to it. There are a few great themes, you have to sift through hundreds and hundreds of downright ugly ones to find one that is halfway decent (and previewing them requires a couple ad-filled page loads)
I am currently jailbroken, but the next time I restore my phone i am not even going to bother - I just don't think it's worth it anymore.

Yes, JB, it's worth it.

Sure you void your warranty, but you can always load the original firmware through iTunes and you are no longer voided.
I jailbreak for themes. I refuse to look at Apple's hideous GUI.
If you remain stock then you miss out on everything that the community has to offer so why not take advantage of it?

You're asking this question to a very biased audience, lol.... everyone that comes to this site wants to mod/jailbreak their phone... what kind of answer did you expect?
