not only boss tool is missing also sb preferences an all apps which were placed in categorie folders.

BossTool is no longer needed. The purpose of this was to move apps/fonts/ringtones to the mobile partition but after firmware 2.0 and above these items are already stored there by default.

SB prefs (summerboard) is not compatible with firmware 2.0 and above... it's now Winterboard. If your phone is jailbroken it is highly recommended you RESTORE.. not update.. and then manually re-install all your apps. Read this post about issues using the "back-up" option.

I thought Bosstools was now used to change the size of your partitions. I saw it in Cydia last week.

Big Boss Cydia repo is overwhelmed. Its very slow. Keep trying and the apps will finally show up in Cydia. The it may take several attempts to install any of them.

It is in the repos. I see it on my phone.

    BossTool 2.0

In Cydia look under System in the Sections or do a search for it.
