Help! - So I bought a hacked iphone...

I just got my iphone off ebay, and after reading for 2 hours I discover its already unlocked and jailbroken.
Ok I knew it was unlocked, as it accepted my sim, but had no idea what cydia or the installer was until I read things a bit.
My iPone is a 2.0.2 version and I am wondering what I need to installl on my PC now to get things up and running. I dont wish to remove the jailbreak or mess with the unlock. I do hoever wish to install games, apps and such and wonder whats my next step.

A few Q's..
-I noticed on itunes website on the iphone when connected at the bottom, it says "No Account". Whats this?
-Do I need to buy apps at itunes or can I download them elsewhere and install on it now?
-What is this jailbreak or whatever with the phone help me do?
-What can I do now seems to be the best Question I have to ask at this point.

1. You need to register at the apple website so you can download free appstore apps for your iphone, and to buy such if available in your country.
2. You can download "healed" iphone apps, there are thousands of them in the internet, but this is not a warez site, so search at google
3.Jailbrake is a process which unlocks the iphone file system and it allows you to upload files or 3d party apps or ringtones or whatever
4.The best thing to do is to install Itunes and NEVER i repeat never click YES to the prompt that asks you to upgrade to a newer version of the software for your iphone.
5. Spend some time around the site and read the guides, it might give you some tips
