Accessory Indication resistance values
|
I wanted to start a thread where people could post resistance values of accessories for iphone 3g, nano, touch (ie. a/v cables, docks, any kind of adapter connected to the dock). The value is how the iphone/ipod knows which type of accessory is connected
Anyone trying to make a homebrew cable or bypass for an older accessory will need this info.
-Model of ipod/iphone
-function
-resistance value
I opened my bluetooth audio adapter(iphone 3g) and got 95K ohm reading. It uses the serial and audio lines.
Edit
The resitor connects pin 21 to ground.
