Need Advice

Hello All

I am new to the iphone and this site.

I am coming from the Modmymoto v3i site.

I just purchased from a friend a used 3G iphone.

Here is my question I have ATT as my service provider and the phone is ATT.

My billing cycle isn't for a few weeks how do I use this phone without being force charged the rate plan, what I have read on this site is that ATT once they find out that you stick your sim card in there, it will send a signal to them, alerting them you have the iphone.

I don't want to billed until, my billing cycle is up. I have been through the prorated billing before what a nightmare.

Should I hack into and turn off all the features????

If so which is the best method to use???

Any advice would be great!!!!!

Remove sim from old phone, insert sim into iPhone.

I only have 1 sim card, it from my razr.

My friend who sold me the iphone kept his sim.

Restore the phone to the latest firmware in iTunes. Don't have a sim card in the phone. Once you have done that, it will say insert sim card. Use quickpwn to activate/jailbraek the phone. You should be able to use the phone for everything but making calls so that you won't be charged. Use your Razr to make calls until then.
